and restaurants with their unique glass-enclosed "outdoor" cafes.
During the 1950's and early 1960's, this street was the exclusive haunt of the pleasure-loving ultra-
rich such as King Farouk, and celebrities like Anita Ekberg, Gina Lollobrigida, and Audrey Hepburn.
Today the maxim still holds that, "There isn't a single famous person who,
passing through rome, doesn't spare a bit of time to visit the Via Veneto."
The first half of your walk ends in Piazza Barberini with its famous Triton Fountain,
created in 1642 by Bernini.
The second section of your walk begins on the Ponte Sisto which spans the Tiber River,
and continues through the colorful narrow streets surrounding the Campo de' Fiori.
Dodging Italians on their Vespas, your walk continues through the cultural center of
secular rome. You pass a cross section of Roman life, all out to enjoy an early evening
stroll before a typically late Italian dinner in one of the many outdoor cafes.
Your 30 minute walk in Rome ends as you pass through a piazza and enter a small garden.
You'll enjoy this 30 minute walk either with the lively, upbeat music
or with the natural sounds recorded on site as this video was made.
Both soundtracks are included on the DVD!
A separate mini-documentary on Rome is also included on the DVD!
And remember, this makes a unique gift for family and friends!
